OUR INSIGHT into the Best & Latest Lenses
& the Zeiss i.Terminal

What makes your experience at Insight optical different than any other dispensary?

The actual and precise placement of your prescription lenses in your new frame will be the difference between success and failure with your new spectacles. Eyestrain, fatigue, and a dizzy feeling with your new spectacles are just a few signs of improper placement of your lenses and makes for a very difficult adaptation. When you have received lenses before, did you notice the “shaky hand” moving toward you to measure the placement of the lenses? This traditional and antiquated method is not a part of the prescription lens experience at Insight.

The Zeiss iTerminal is the professional modern technology answer to the precision measurement and placement of prescription lenses. It is similar to having a photo taken. A measurement apparatus is placed around the frame you have selected and your experienced opticians will capture an image in seconds. Your lenses will be inserted to 1/10 of 1mm accuracy. This is a valuable piece of technology and eliminates virtually all prescription lens placement errors.

We feature Zeiss ophthalmic lenses at Insight. They are the world leader in optics and just about every lens product that is in use today is produced as a result from Zeiss technology. Why compromise on the most important component of your spectacles! At Insight, we offer a wide selection of high quality lenses, including the latest thin lenses. Though we offer a dizzying array of designer frames, we will happily fit any frames you bring in—even sunglass frames—with prescription lenses if you prefer. And we guarantee all blended and progressive prescription lenses. See Zeiss Lenses below.

Types of Lenses Offered At Insight

Lens manufacturers are always coming up with innovative new materials and components, resulting in lenses that offer different looks and benefits for the wearer. Insight makes the following lenses available in your prescription.

Photochromic Transition Lenses

Transitions lenses are clear indoors and at night but automatically adjust their level of tint to changing light conditions outdoors. They provide visual comfort and quality at any and every moment. And just like sun block protects your skin, Transitions lenses help preserve the health and wellness of your eyes by blocking 100% of harmful UV rays.

Anti-Reflective Lenses

Anti-reflective coatings further improve the quality and the value of your lenses by reducing distracting reflections, helping your visual experience be as precise, clear, and natural as possible. Our Insight tells us there should never be a lens dispensed without anti-reflection coating, therefore all of our lenses include this important technology.

Gradient Lenses

Gradient lenses have a progressive tint from dark at the top of the lens that gradually becomes lighter at the bottom. Insight provides gradient lenses in a variety of gradations. Though a fashionable choice in eyewear, you should be aware that these types of lenses do not necessarily offer complete protection from UV rays.

Sunglasses

Prescription Sunglasses

If none of our designer frames suit you, we can create prescription lenses for almost any sunglass style for any brand. Choose one of the many styles we offer or bring in your own.

Mirrored Lenses

Mirrored lenses reduce the amount of sunlight reaching the eye, providing extra comfort in strong glare conditions. They can be semi-opaque, meaning other people can see your eyes somewhat, or opaque, where they can’t see your eyes at all.

Polarizing Lenses

The primary benefit of polarized lenses is reducing glare, making them far and away the best lenses for outdoor wear. Polarized lenses come in a number of colors, and can be coated with a mirrored finish on the front and anti-reflective finish on the back.

Lens Coatings and Your Sunglasses

Lens coatings can add style, UV protection and scratch resistance. They can even help make it easier to keep your lenses clean. The opticians at Insight would be happy to discuss what types of coatings can be applied to your specific lenses.
